Mark graduated with 1st class honours in Computer Science from the University of Wales Swansea UK in 1993. After a year's post-graduate research Mark started work as a software engineer and continues to work in the software industry. His first encounter with Perl was in 1994 when he built a prototype web site using Perl 4. He has advocated and got to use Perl in almost every job and project since then. Mark has written some CPAN modules including CGI::QuickForm. He has also written a few Python modules and has done quite a lot of editing of the mod_perl Guide. Mark has been vegan since 1981 and may well be the heaviest vegan for his height in the UK due to spending far too much time in front of computer screens and far too little time out in the fresh air. He is married to Andrea and was the typist for her Masters thesis.
