We've expanded our Perl news coverage and improved our search! Search for all things Perl across O'Reilly! Jeff Horwitz
Jeff Horwitz has been a system administrator for nearly ten years, and a programmer since childhood. He is the author of extproc_perl, the current version of mod_parrot, and in 2003 he published the book Unix System Management Primer Plus. Jeff currently resides in the Philadelphia suburbs, managing systems and networks for TargetRx, Inc. Introducing mod_parrot mod_perl marries Perl 5 with the Apache web server. What's the plan for Perl 6? mod_parrot--and it may also be base for any language hosted on the Parrot virtual machine. After a brief hiatus, Jeff Horwitz recently resurrected the mod_parrot progress. Here's the current state, what works, and how to play with it on your own. [Dec 22, 2004]
