Jesse Erlbaum is the Chief Technology Officer for the Vanguard Media Corporation (http://www.vm.com/), located in New York City, where he has worked since 1994. Vanguard Media develops custom software for a variety of clients, from the WPP Group to Time, Inc. Jesse has been a Perl evangelist for many years, and a fervent supporter of all things open-source. Perl's no-nonsense practicality is what he enjoys most about both the language, and the Perl community.
