System Administration Applications Alist Alist is a program that collects hardware and software information about systems and stores it in a database for users to browse and search via a Web interface. The program consists of three parts: a client portion that collects the information, a daemon that receives data sent from clients, and a CGI that displays and lets you search for information. Clients for Solaris, Linux, FreeBsd, OpenBSD, HP-UX, Irix, Windows, and Mac OS X are currently available. AlternC Hosting Software AlternC is automatic hosting software suite based on the Valentin Lacambre hosting system and Debian. It features a PHP-based administration interface and shell and Perl scripts that manage server contents. It can manage email, Web, and list hosting. It is available in French, English, and Spanish. BlockIt BlockIt monitors the Snort alert file and creates either IPTables, IPChains, IPFWADM, or Checkpoint Firewall rules. This version is only for Linux (later versions will include FreeBSD and OpenBSD support). BlockIt has built-in CIDR support for multiple target IPs and whitelist support. Additional features include MySQL logging and email logging.
