We've expanded our Perl news coverage and improved our search! Search for all things Perl across O'Reilly! Geographical apredit apredit is command-line based ArcView GIS .apr file editor, which changes file pointers to coverages and shapefiles. Good tool to combat disk structure changes. Tested for ArcView GIS version 2.0 and up. GPS::Garmin GPS::Garmin allow the connection and use of of a GPS receiver in perl scripts. Currently only the GRMN/GRMN protocol is implemented but NMEA is a work in progress. This module was only tested on Garmin GPS II+ equipments, but should work on all Garmin receivers that support the GRMN/GRMN protocol. Location.pm Translates a user-entered location into a latitude-longitude coordinate pair. It was designed to very liberal about accepting user input in a wide variety of formats, and providing robust translation and good error reporting with a minimum of muss and fuss.
