Conversion apt4rpm The superb Debian package installer APT has since some time become available for RPM-based distributions. However, to install RPM packages with apt, an apt repository is needed. apt4rpm creates the apt repository from an RPM repository. The rpm repository can be located locally or remotely. Once the apt repository has been created with apt4rpm, the apt tools can be used to install RPMs. Archive::Tar Module for manipulation of tar archives -- It provides the ability to read and write tar files, and if the Compress::Zlib module is installed, it will read and write gzipped tarfiles. Archive::Zip The Archive::Zip module allows a Perl program to create, manipulate, read, and write Zip archive files. Zip archives can be created, or you can read from existing zip files. Once created, they can be written to files, streams, or strings. Members can be added, removed, extracted, replaced, rearranged, and enumerated. They can also be renamed or have their dates, comments, or other attributes queried or modified. Their data can be compressed or uncompressed as needed. Members can be created from members in existing Zip files, or from existing directories, files, or strings. This module uses the Compress::Zlib library to read and write the compressed streams inside the files. CGI interface to Math::Units A cgi interface for the Math::Units module from CPAN. The module converts between units of measurements, and understands numerous abbreviations. Compress::Zlib Provides a Perl interface to part of the info-zip zlib compression library. The zlib compression library is available at ftp://ftp.uu.net/pub/archiving/zip/zlib* and ftp://swrinde.nde.swri.edu/pub/png/src/zlib*. The zlib home page is http://quest.jpl.nasa.gov/zlib/. Convert::BinHex Extract data from Macintosh BinHex files. Convert::Cyrillic This package implements routine for converting from one cyrillic charset to another. It is intended to be used from cgi's which need built-in support for translations. For example, you may wish to use it in form processor to translate from user encoding to one used by your site. Convert::EBCDIC Perl module for string conversion between EBCDIC and ASCII Convert::TNEF TNEF stands for Transport Neutral Encapsulation Format, and if you've ever been unfortunate enough to receive one of these files as an email attachment, you may want to use this module. Covert::BER Convert::BER is a perl object class implementation to encode and decode objects as described by ITU-T standard X.209 CVS2HTML CVS2HTML converts the CVS log output to HTML HTML::FormatNroff This is a set of modules which allow you to convert HTML to nroff with -man macros, using tbl to handle tables. It builds on HTML::Formatter and HTML::Parse, requiring perl 5.004. [ pod ] listing A C++/Perl->LaTeX converter (that produces beautiful program listings). It has many configurable features that allow you to use LaTeX formulas and even include EPS pictures in program comments. By default, listing converts the files to a single LaTeX file listing.tex, runs LaTeX, and launches xdvi to show you listing.dvi. It also invokes dvips to convert the dvi file to a Postscript file (listing1.ps), and psnup to put two pages on one sheet of paper (listing.ps). Prerequisites: LaTeX (with makeindex and psfig), dvips, xdvi, and psnup (and, of course, Perl). MIME-tools This toolkit allows you to parse and/or construct MIME messages; e.g., email messages with attachments. The modules have been ported to Win32, and pass the tests under Win95 using the GS port of Perl5.004. Unicode::Map This module converts strings from and to 2-byte Unicode UCS2 format. Available character sets, their names and their aliases are defined in the file %22REGISTRY%22 in the Unicode::Map hierarchy. Character mapping is according to the data of binary mapfiles in Unicode::Map hierarchy. Binary mapfiles can also be created with this module, so that you could install your specific character sets. There is a special utility %22mkmapfile%22 provided to ease this task. units This program, units interconverts many different units of measurement. Compute the number of miles in a kilometer, the speed of light in furlongs per fortnight, or the amount of energy released if Elvis were to encounter an anti-Elvis made of antimatter.
